Texas Gothic is based on an old film photograph that I found in an antique store. I don’t know the story behind the couple but the familiarity between them and between the viewer is so comforting and nostalgic. They could easily be my grandparents- be anyone’s grandparents. 
My hope is that they go to a home that loves them well and they add an interesting component to a design in a room.
