This landscape was inspired by an early morning drive out to the country. It was a beautiful foggy spring morning and it gave the surrounding view a magical air. The spring wildflowers were at the beginning of their season and it felt so refreshing and peaceful that I immediately went home to capture the feeling.
 
The painting blances cool and warm colors throughout with rich undertones of burnt umber, light touches of a dusty french blue, and deep shades of green to give the piece interest and texture. Though inspired by the Texas countryside, it could feel at home anywhere in the country.
